Main Nano Field: Mass Spectrometry analysis and RNA profiling of cancer metabolism.
Research interests: Metabolic reprogramming is one of the earliest biological hallmarks of cancer, thus offering a new approach to understanding cancer mechanisms and identifying new treatment strategies. Over the past few years my lab generated state-of-the-art metabolomics capabilities (based mostly on mass-spectrometry technologies) to study metabolic transformation of cancer. Our research explores the metabolic control of tumorigenesis, i.e. the physiological and pathological metabolic changes that dictate cancer cells’ fate.
