Nano Main Field:
Tensile test systems.
Research Interests
Mechanics and kinetics of smart materials at the nano and micro scales
Mechanical properties of interfaces
Mechanical behavior of free-standing submicron metallic films subjected to pure tension
My research is focused on the Mechanics of Materials from a small scale perspective, with emphasis on active and biogenic materials. More specifically, he studies multi-disciplinary problems in which the material mechanics aspect is coupled with electric, magnetic or chemical effects. All these effects involve sub-processes that occur at different time and length scales.
