The great contribution of the Nano fiels to my research is undeniable, as my research include a multidisciplinary approach which combine nanotechnology, biomedical engineering and oncology to integrate common analytical methods and sensing technology for lung cancer genetic profiling through volatolomic signature. More specifically I investigate the use of chemiresistors based on gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) and single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) for the cultivation of volatolomic signature associated with different cell compartments within lung cancer cell and detect specific VOCs associated with lung cancer development which are emitted from different organelles inside the cell.
