Main Nano Field:

Nanomaterials: Tailoring functional properties of nanostructured electroceramic materials, in particular metal oxides, by controlling their crystal structure and chemistry, morphology, porosity, grain size and interface structure. The materials we study have potential applications in gas sensors, photocatalysts, solar cells, fuel cells, electronic and optoelectronic devices.

Research Interests

Electroceramics: Defect chemistry, electronic and ionic transport properties, charge transfer processes.

Nanomaterials: Tailoring functional properties of nanostructured electroceramics by controlling their crystal structure and chemistry, morphology, porosity, grain size and interface structure.

Thin films and multilayer structures: Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), epitaxial growth of complex oxide thin films and multilayer heterostructures.

Solid-state devices: gas sensors, photocatalysts, solar cells, fuel cells, electronic and optoelectronic devices.
